     Daily Snacks Empty Daily Snacks

    I know we have talked about this before. But I wanted to ask again. What do some of you do for snacks that are high in protein or complex carbs that are on the go. I do not have an office job. I work in and out of customers homes and I need some Ideas for food while im out and about. I usually keep some protein bars and peanuts with me all day. I also use the EAS MYOPLEX drinks that you buy at Sam's to help me get more protein in.

    Just lookin for thoughts and Ideas.

    Thanks everyone.

    Well for me I get 3 meals a day in from shakes which consist of blended down oatmeal (the old fashioned) and a blend of protein (slow, med, and fast) of egg, casein, and whey protein.

    That way I get the fiber I need, the good fats, low GI carbs, and also quality protein. My other 3-4 meals are solids.

    My idea of a snack is a shake. LOL

    Here is an idea for a meal replacement. Maple Cinnamon Meal!

    Ingredients:

    * 2 scoops of vanilla whey protein
    * 1 cup of cooked Rolled oats
    * ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    * 1/8 c sugar free maple syrup
    * 1 tbsp of Flaxseed Oil
    * 16 oz. skim milk

    It's a great shake if you like maple cinnamon pancakes and it is a much healthier choice. It gives adequate amounts of protein and complex carbs, with just a hint of EFA’s

    or

    Protein Muffins!!!

    Ingredients:

    * 1 1/2 cups oats
    * 1 carton (2 cups)ALL WHITES ...(or 50 grms egg whites)
    * 1/2 cup ctg cheese
    * 12 packets SPLENDA
    * cinnamon

    Heat oven to 350* .
    Blend in blender until smooth.
    Spray muffin pan with PAM !!!
    Bake for about 20 min.
    Makes 12 muffins.

    NUTRITIONAL INFO
    Serving size = 3 muffins

    Damn NVS that sounds good. Im going to try and make a batch of those.

    I guess I should have been a little more specific. I wanted to know what some of you may take around with you as in foods. I do use shakes but I have learned that my body grows and reacts better when I get solid foods in and just use shakes for extra protein or when Im on the go.

    Im looking for some ideas on foods that I can take with me when im out and about in between customers homes. Something that can be easy to take around or that doesnt have to be heated up or refrigerated. Ex: peanuts, protein bars etc etc etc.

    Thanks
