Hi Folks,quick question regarding HCG.I've read it should be used during a cycle to prevent shutdown,but have seen others use it after their cycle as PCTand I'm slightly confused.I've done some reading on it,but am still having some trouble with it...hence the post.If doing it while on a cycle,and still having my natural test up and running....Wouldn't I have too much test,and end up having some of it convert to estrogen? Also wouldn't HCG shots be better absorbed IM rather than Sub-q?I was thinking of running HCG and some Clomid for PCT. I'm real sorry to sound like a dummy here,but PCT isn't something I have alot of experience with and would like some feedback.Thanks

Hey man. What is your cycle like and what are your stats?

As for the HCG, you should be starting this at week 4. and you will run this until the end of your cycle. BUT NOT FOR PCT. Stop using the HCG before you start pct. you can stop after your last week of AAS or one week after
As for pct. You should probably get some type of AI such as letro or aroma along with clomid, you can pm me for a place to find these. Or you can stick to nolva and clomid.
I would recomend taking the clomid like this
PCT
Week 1 150mgs/ed
Week 2 100mgs/ed
Week 3 50mgs/ed

You got it Shorty. HCG should not be used for PCT. I start mine at week 3 or 4 and run it up until PCT. It is much much easier to measure out and inject HCG Sub-Q with a slin pin. Dont try and do it IM. Run 1000iu's per week. From what i understand recent studies have proven it best if you divid that 1000iu's 3x's per week. But it is okay if you divide it 2x per week.

I understand IM, but what is Sub- Q?

sub-q: its an ijection just under the skin. this is how i do it. i pinch a chunk of skin on my belly so its sticking out then i stab it with the insulin needle and inject while holding the skin till i'm done. its easy and painless

Everyone is offering ya solid advice Pureblood, run the HCG during and not after. Then run a solid PCT to hold onto your gains and get you functioning back to normal again.

I appriciate the help guys,now can anyone give me any suggestions on PCT if I'm gonna run it without HCG?I was thinking Clomid and Aroma as Shorty suggested,but I'm not real sure about doseages.
Cycle will probably be Test/Deca/Dbol.
Stats are 38yo

A very good PCT would be Aroma or Letro with Clomid.

PCT
Week 1 150mg Clomid with either 20mg Aroma or 2.5mg Letro
Week 2 100mg Clomid with either 20mg Aroma or 2.5mg Letro
Week 3 50mg Clomid with either 20mg Aroma or 2.5mg Letro

The guys have told you what to do... but I'm going to point out why its done this way so you understand...

HCG mimics LH and FSH... When you take HCG it doesn't increase LH, it suppresses it so it bypasses LH by mimicing it and by mimicing it, it directly tells the leydig cells of the Testes to produce Testosterone.... Doing this during a cycle keeps the Testes working and not shutting down... Allowing the testes to shut down makes it hard for them to respond to the bodies natural high LH production after the cycle and sometime shutdown can be so hard that the testes never respond again or just barely resond causing the person to have to go on Testosterone Replacement for life... so after a cycle you take something else that doesn't mimic LH, but instead increases natural LH production and this is why we use Clomid,,, clomid does a very good job of doing this... Also an AI can indirectly do this by lowering Estrogen... lowering estrogen triggers more test production... One more benifit to using an AI while using Clomid is that Clomid raises estrogens above normal levels which is counter productive plus there are unwanted sides from high estrogens...
