This may sound stupid but here goes anyway...

If I do a test/deca cycle, my natural test production will shutdown. Could I run Anavar for a while at the end of the cycle after finishing the test/deca?

My thoughts are that Anavar doesn't shutdown natural test production, so I could take that and start some PCT that would stimulate production, but the Anavar could keep test levels from actually crashing.

I may be oversimplifying things here and this may not work, but could somebody explain why it would or woudn't work?

You would have to list your level of experience (how many cycles) before I would recommend that you do this. You are getting into the realm of bridging cycles and I do not recommend that anyone do this until they have a number of cycles under their belt and gains are slowing down. :wink:

That being said, there are a few reasons why doing that would not be a good idea. Anavar (oxandrolone) can cause problems with your gastrointestinal tract. (diarrhea) This can actually lead to weight loss. Anavar can also cause bloating and in turn suppress your appetite. These two problems combined can seriously effect your gains.

If you do decide to try this just remember that even though Anavar does not shut down natural test levels, it is still a 17-alpha alkylated steroid, therefore it is still liver toxic. You should not use it for more than 6 weeks at a time. Dosages for men are usually about 25 to 30mg a day.

I ask the question more for the knowledge than actually planning it at this time. i have done a few cycles, all were deca/test/dbol. I find that after the cycle I lose a sex drive, and get a bit depressed, so I thought this might be something to look at.

Back to the drawing board!

I tend to forget that alot of people have this problem as I tend to stay on test for longer periods of time than most people. My PCT is also usually short and then I am back on the stuff. One thing that will help you to "recover" faster is if you use some HCG (1500iu's) in the middle of your cycle and then use it again during your PCT. (500iu's/wk for three weeks)

Try using some Cialis when comming off of your next cycle. Just use it every now and then to keep your spirits up, but try not to abuse it or start relying on it every time you have the opportunity. :wink:

I'm gonna bump GF here. Bridging is a great way to really hold gains but really unless you are a seasoned competitor I don't see a reason to do that to your body. Let it have a break.

The HCG sounds like a good idea. I'll definitely do that. I knew the anavar idea wouldn't work, if it would I'd have seen that idea posted everywhere. I just couldn't understand why it doesn't work.

You can start HCG about week 4-5 and run it 200iu e4d up to the end of your cycle.

I heard the hcg increases sex drive, isthat true? I think my wife will flee the country if my drive gets any higher when on cycle!

(when I come off, and lose the drive, she gets pissed too)
