I have been taking about 3 minutes between sets when doing flat, incline, decline bench, and military press. Squats as well. Other exercises I vary between 1 to 2 minutes between sets.
I typically lift hevy with my last set on compound movements having no more than 6 to 8 reps. stats: 190, 6ft tall, 27 yrs old.
Example flat bench,
15x135
10x185
8x205
8x225
6-8x275
The first two sets are basically warm up sets and I need this due to a shoulder and elbow essue. The question is: am I taking too much time between sets?
