Cortisone/muscle Development

I recently sustained a knee injury during the training for a MMA fight, and as a result my doc. gave me a shot of cortisone. Iv'e read that cortisone is a catabolic cortico-steroid, but do any of you know if this will hinder my muscle development?

Yeah it is very destructive. Cortisone will actually weaken the muscle and tendons around the area where you were shot making it easier to injure yourself. I would under no circumstance get cortisone shots.

thanks for your response bro,,,,,,,He gave me one shot in the glute for my knee injury, would it be ok to work out the upper body? also, is cortisone significantely catabolic, to where it will be hard to gain muscle while the shot is still in my system?
